Managing Access

During ZixOne configuration, each organization chooses one of two options under which it intends to manage access to ZixOne:

• Unlimited Access—Allows anyone who has a valid email address within an organization domain to register and use ZixOne
• Exclusive Access—Limits ZixOne registration to a list of specific people added by an administrator

When an organization chooses exclusive access, the Administration Console includes the following additional features:

• The Add Person button on the People screen
• The Add Person dialog box
• The Add button on the Settings screen
• The Add Multiple People dialogue box
Note: For an unlimited account organization, the People list comprises the people who have registered at least one device with ZixOne. Adding people is not necessary.

If an organization chooses exclusive access, the administrator must create and maintain an exclusive access list.

On the Administration Console, the administrator for an exclusive access organization can do the following:

• Add multiple people to the exclusive access list simultaneously by importing a properly formatted CSV file
• Add people to the exclusive access list one by one
• Add administrators to the exclusive access list
• Removing administrators from the exclusive access list
• Modify an added device owner's account information
• Remove an unregistered user's profile from the exclusive access list
• Remove a user's profile from the exclusive access list

People who have exclusive access but have not yet registered a device have the access status Added.
